Poor experience. Extra distance between VESA mount and monitor mount point increases leverage, exceeding ability of pivot to hold monitor in position. Should warn buyer to use mount that can support X pounds, where X is weight equivalent to torque with the increased distance.
Hi Jon - we're really sorry about your negative experience with this product! This issue is caused by insufficient strength in the joint of the monitor arm that you're using, not by our adapter. We suggest purchasing a higher quality arm or an arm with a higher weight limit. We have done some testing and found that the lower-priced arms available on Amazon often have this issue. Alternatively, use a wrench to apply more torque to that joint adjustment point on the monitor arm. Hope that helps!
have used this product multiple times. works great with my monitors
The instructions needed to be clearer or at least the pictures needed to be larger. Took me longer than it should have to figure out the installation. I don't think the monitors look like they are installed super securely but everything is holding and feels solid, so fingers crossed that continues. The way the mount is structured causes the monitor to lean out and only two screws hold the base in place. This was the only thing I could find that would allow me to mount my non-VESA monitors, thus saving me from buying two new monitors, so I'm happy with them now that the installation is done.
Excellent easy install
