Overall great. Thought it wasn't going to fit, service helped me get it. Screws are too small. Tight quarters to get them started.
It arrived quickly, easy to install, (it's my 3rd adapter).
Would love a version with height adjust, but this is phenomenal as is. Only thing that lets me keep using my old screens
The VESA Mount Interface Standard has been around for over two decades yet it blows my mind that some manufacturers insist on leaving out what I consider to be an important design feature. Is it really that cost prohibitive to implement a VESA mounting option on a flat panel display? Evidently.
At least we have companies like HumanCentric who are able to cater to those of us that have flat panel displays we still want to use that don't/can't spare the expense of a new display that has a VESA mount we want to implement for our workspace.
While I didn't initially take a VESA mounting option as a consideration when I purchased my display I would've liked to have had the option. This mounting bracket served that need well and was easy to implement to my current workspace. I highly recommend getting this bracket to you on your favorite flat panel display instead of contributing to electronic waste by discarding what works perfectly fine (as a display) and buying something new only to get that VESA mount.
I was extremely happy to see this when I started looking for a VESA mount option for my monitor. It allowed me to set my monitor in a monitor arm with a VESA mount in an attempt to clean my desktop and free some space.
The adapter is well built and really solid. The instructions included are easy to follow and it took me about 5 minutes to remove the stand on my monitor and install this adapter. I was then able to connect this to my monitor arm and..problem solved.
My only complaint (which is probably more me than the product), is that this adapter is heavy, precisely because it is so well made. Unfortunately this added extra heft to the arm, and sadly now the monitor tends to twist forward so the scree points down because the arm cannot support the combined weight of the monitor plus the adapter. So be extra sure when purchasing a monitor arm that it is more than comfortably capable of holding BOTH the weight of the monitor and the added heft of the adapter.
Fortunately, I was able to McGyver a solution of sorts by using large zip ties, so all is well that ends well. However, it is clearly not a very elegant solution.
Should you buy this ABSOLUTELY. If you have Viewsonic monitor like mine and want to mount it on a VESA equipped arm or set it on a wall, this will be a life saver. However, do not make the mistake I made and make sure you choose a mounting system that is easily able to cope with the added weight. I would buy this again without hesitation.
