This adapter didn't give quite as secure an attachment as I'd have hoped, but it's decent enough to work on a monitor arm. I would probably recommend against trying to use a swiveling function on an arm, as I suspect that won't be too safe. It was a bit touchy to get installed. The biggest problem is that the bolt that came with the adapter was definitely too short. It barely got into the threads into the base piece of my monitor, and, luckily before I tried to connect it to my monitor arm, that bolt's threads sheared clean off. It was the right type of bolt, just not long enough, so I was able to replace it with a longer bolt, plus some washers in case I got one slightly too long, and it's attached securely enough for me.
Got my work monitors at home now, both of which are mounted. Thought I'd be stuck with my main monitor (Asus) on its original stand. But luckily I was able to find this VESA adaptor from HumanCentric! Now I've got a clean setup with all three monitors mounted. Thank you!
Excellent. Solid, b eutifully crafted.
Custumer Service, the best.
Works as advertised. The monitor stand I pushed on the other hand is cheap and the bolts stripped. wish the stand was as high quality as this adapter!
My monitors were old but functional. I wanted to mount them higher so they could be eye level to help with ergonomics. But to do that, all the articulating arms needed a VESA mount, and my monitors didn't have that. I was faced with buying new monitors with a mount or getting the adapter. I chose the adapter because the monitors were still good enough for me, it was cheaper, and it created less waste.
