HumanCentric teamed with Source Technologies to design a self-service platform for the branch-banking industry. The Concourse Assisted Self-Service Solution enables bank customers to perform several banking tasks that were formerly executed by the teller. Customers "set up" their own transactions in order to save time and reduce waiting. The Concourse kiosk allows one teller to assist three or more customers at one time.
HumanCentric's team of designers and human factors specialists began the project by identifying the key components and requirements of the device. By developing user scenarios, the team was able to identify potential problems with the kiosk prior to finalizing the design.
HumanCentric's designers worked around the existing internal components and focused on creating a workable and highly appealing concept. The team succeeded in designing a kiosk that is both approachable and user friendly.
